“This program is designed for male teens and young adults who are considered as “cyclers” (chronic runners). These wards have had multiple placements and have been identified as chronic runners from Department of Children and Family Services authorized placements. The youth referred to this program are those in need of intensive and comprehensive stabilization services that will work to increase the number of days the youth remain on campus (stable at the center) and work to improve their overall level of functioning as they emerge into adulthood.”

As we engage in the life journeys of our youth we seek to equip them with skills, values, and character that will yield a superior manner of living in their near future.

Program Goal:

The program aims to stabilize youth and equip them to deal with the responsibilities and privileges of being autonomous.

Objectives:

This program avoids the implementation of traditional methods of managing behavioral issues such as restraints, levels, or point systems, opting for a more effective and creative approach.

Description of Services:

This program is a 24 hour supervised residential facility that offers youth the opportunity to obtain individual and group therapy, life skills groups, money management skill and workforce training vital skills that will significantly enhance their economic future, while helping them become productive, responsible citizens who will be prepared to give back to their communities.

Target Population:

Department of Children and Family Services wards of the State of Illinois age 17-21.

Selection Process:

Referrals are received from: DCFS/POS providers.

Duration of Program:

Up to 24 month.
