Intensive Stabilization Program (I.S.P.)
“This program is designed for male teens and young adults who are considered as “cyclers” (chronic runners). These wards have had multiple placements and have been identified as chronic runners from Department of Children and Family Services authorized placements. The youth referred to this program are those in need of intensive and comprehensive stabilization services that will work to increase the number of days the youth remain on campus (stable at the center) and work to improve their overall level of functioning as they emerge into adulthood.” |
| Program Goal: |
To provide a stable and supervised living arrangement that will work to reduce or eliminate the number of days remaining on run or residing in unauthorized placement. |
| Objective: |
The program will assist clients with obtaining the skills needed for gaining successful independence in less supervised settings (ILO, TLP, or YIC) |
| Target Population: |
Male DCFS youth between the ages of 16-20 years |
| Duration of the Program: |
|
| Location: |
“THE FARM” rural Kankakee County-Momence, Illinois |
| Program: |
Supportive services are designed to address a myriad of issues for diverse and unique DCFS wards. The program incorporates a philosophy based upon providing positive support from peers and professionals. We believe that success of a youth’s stabilization is directly related to and dependent upon the healthy relationships participants develop with those in and outside of the program. |
