Garden of Prayer Youth Center offers many services to children and families in the Kankakee, Illinois community. The goal of our services is to keep families together, encourage and inspire kids and teens to do their best in school, and help at-risk youth become their best selves. To this end, we offer group home services for teens and young adults, clinical therapy services for individuals, groups, and families, educational enrichment programs including after-school programs for children and teens, summer day camp, and job readiness training, performance and visual arts classes, parenting support classes, nutrition education classes, and Christian living classes.

While much of our ministry and mission is focused around children, we realize that a cohesive family is important in the upbringing of children and teens, so we assist parents by offering counseling, support, educational classes, and training. Over the years, we have seen our services impact the lives of many children and their families for the better--people formerly without hope have support, encouragement, and a pathway to success because of the help of GOPYC volunteers, sponsors, and donors.
