Volunteer

Volunteer! Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can. -Arthur Ashe

Volunteering is the perfect vehicle to discover a new passion and develop new skills. As Mahatma Gandhi said, "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever."

Garden of Prayer Youth Center is about community, something we often take for granted. Volunteering with the Garden of Prayer Youth Center is one way to give back to your community in a lasting way. Fundamentally, volunteering is about giving your time, energy and skills freely. As a volunteer you have to make a decision to help on your own accord, free from pressure from others.

We are always looking for volunteers with a caring attitude for others, who value youth, and who desire to build a relationship with the people they will serve. The types of volunteers we look for predominantly express a sense of achievement and motivation, which is ultimately generated from their desire and enthusiasm to help. Do you want to give back? Do you want to help kids and teen who could use a helping hand? Do you want to give your time to a worthy cause? Do you want to be part of a community, something bigger than yourself?
